Conejo's 23 points and 7 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

26-year old point guard Isaac Conejo (182-PG-94) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team ARBA and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had the game-high 23 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for ARBA in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Perez Zeledon (#7, 0-2) with 51-point margin 95-44. It allowed ARBA to consolidate first place in the Costa Rican league. The season is still on an early stage, but ARBA already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Conejo had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at ARBA, through which he has constantly improved. Conejo has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 16.5ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 8.0rpg) and averages solid 4.0spg and 71.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was David Shedden (197-F-95) of league's second-best Escazu. He is former international forward in his first season at Escazu. In the last game Shedden recorded impressive double-double of 18 points and 19 rebounds. Of course he led Escazu to another comfortable win outscoring Asobasca (0-2) 120-44. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Shedden is a newcomer at Escazu and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.5ppg (#2). He also registered 12.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Amir Alvarado (198-SF-84) of Heredia (#3). Alvarado scored 20 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Heredia, leading his team to a 69-63 win against Alajuela (#5, 1-2). Heredia needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victories and 1 lost games. Alvarado has a great season in Costa Rica. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.0ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 11.5rpg (2nd best).
